Our Hebridean Hogget/Mutton Meat Boxes are a seasonal product only available between September and December.

All meat is hung for around 7 days, butchered and vacuum packed (in compostable pouches) ready for the fridge or freezer.

As we process in batches, please Contact Us to check on availability.

We can also supply un-butchered hogget and mutton on request (within the Uists only).

Our Sunhill hogget is deliciously tender and slightly salty having been reared on the shores of the Sound of Harris. A hogget is a sheep in its second year.

Each box contains the following:

Half hogget box:

Weight circa 6 - 7 kg

Price price £110 incl. postage & packaging.

Contains - Gigot (leg) roast, shoulder roast, loin chops, rack/cutlets, neck fillet and mince.

Freezer space requirements - one drawer in an upright freezer.

Whole hogget box:

Weight circa 12 - 13.5 kg

Price £180 incl. postage & packaging.

hebridean mutton meat boxes

Our Sunhill mutton is from more mature animals and has a slightly deeper and richer flavour than our hogget. Best cooked low and slow for delicious results. Mutton is sheep older than two years.

Whole mutton box:

All our packaging is eco-friendly, we use Sustaina vacuum pouches that are plant based and certified for home composting, with our mainland orders delivered in Award Winning WoolCool boxes.

delivery

Mainland delivery by Royal Mail 24 hour Special Delivery plus packaging included in quoted price. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure someone is available to receive and sign for the meat box otherwise Royal Mail will return it to the depot.

Local island (Uist) deliveries are free of delivery charge - price on request.
